I want to inform our customers that we can state with a high degree of confidence that we’ve identified the root cause of the problem that disrupted Console on Wednesday. More specifically, our team detected a previously undiscovered bug in a driver for a popular NoSQL database; we can reliably reproduce the issue and can state with confidence that our mitigation efforts prevented – and will continue to prevent – any recurrence of the problem.

Over the next few days we will continue to examine available data logs to understand the full implications of the incident.

Please know that we take the matter very seriously and are working around the clock to gather as much information as possible.   I hope to provide a further update early in the week.

In the meantime, please accept my apologies for Wednesday’s disruption and my gratitude for your continued partnership.
